The jury returned a defense verdict in Madsen v. Beacon Roofing, Case no. 190401592. 

This case was bifurcated into two stages. The first stage was to determine whether the driver was negligent and the second stage was to determine whether the driver’s employer engaged in negligent hiring, supervision, or training. 

The jury determined that the driver of Beacon Roofing’s truck was not negligent when he struck and killed a child in a crosswalk. The Verdict is available here: Beacon – Jury Verdict
