On January 27, 2023, Judge Bruce S. Jenkins issued his Findings of Fact and Order in Michaud v. United States of America, Case No. 2:21-cv-00722-BSJ, United States District Court for the District of Utah, Central Division. This is a tragic wrongful death claim against the United States where the government stipulated to liability. The amount of damages was the only disputed issue requiring trial.

Plaintiffs' damage calculation at trial: $140,000,000.
Defendant's damage calculation at trial: $3,500,000.

Judge Jenkins ordered the following:

Plaintiff Ludovic Michaud - $9,500,000.
Plaintiff Christine Namagembe - $700,000.
Plaintiff John Bosco Kateregga - $350,000
